Resource Advocacy Program

The Resource Advocacy Program assists Macomb County seniors, 60 years and older. Resource Advocates will visit clients in the home, office, or a common meeting place to assess the client's needs and provide beneficial information.  Trained professionals will assess an individual's needs, link him/her to appropriate services and resources, and follow-up to assure the services are in place.

Resource Advocates will also assist with forms such as Medicare, Medicaid, Homestead Tax, Heating Credit, World Medical Relief applications and advocate for a senior whenever necessary and appropriate.

If you are in need of a low-cost or free service to electronically file your taxes, please contact the Information and Referral Specialist at 586-469-6313.  She may have a list of providers.
