morroccoWe have relocated to our new building, which is located at 21777 Dunham Road, Clinton Township, in the Macomb County Service Center.

The new Public Works Building is nestled on a 22 acre tree lined site, between the VerKuilen Building on the east and Animal Shelter on the west. Probate Court is across the street. The County Jail is a short distance down Dunham Road.

The main Web site of the Macomb County Public Works Commissioner’s Office is under construction. However, the Quick Links listed to the left are active and can be accessed. The main site is a work in progress. Please bear with us while improvements are made.

Storm Water Management Design Standards

'In 2002, the State of Michigan began to implement the second phase of the Clean Water Act.  This phase - informally called 'Phase II' - requires municipalities and other governmental agencies to regulate both the quantity and quality of stormwater runoff discharging into state waters.  To accomplish this task, the Macomb County Public Works Office (MCPWO) has updated its stormwater standards, the first major revision of the rules since 1967.  Once the new standards are finalized, they will be used to evaluate development proposals that discharge stormwater into County drains.
