The Macomb County Health Department monitors the incidence of reportable communicable diseases in Macomb County residents. Public Health Nurses investigate communicable disease reports, and provide information to Macomb residents regarding disease transmission. Disease information is reported to the Epidemiology Division of the Michigan Department of Community Health.
For laboratories, hospitals, nursing homes or physicians reporting a communicable disease, please call (586) 783-8190. After hours communicable disease reports should be faxed to (586) 493-0075.
