PURPOSE: The purpose of the Macomb County Hazard Mitigation Plan 2005-2010 is to identify those natural and man-caused hazards that pose a threat to the community, rank them based on their potential threat to the people and economy, and recommend mitigation projects to eliminate or reduce their impact. This County Plan has been approved by both the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Michigan State Police, Emergency Management/Homeland Security Division.
