2008 FILING REQUIREMENTS WHAT TO FILE All candidates for precinct delegate must file an Affidavit of Identity. Petition signatures are not required. The Affidavit of Identity must be notarized. WHERE TO FILE File with the Clerk of the jurisdiction in which you reside to become a candidate or with the Macomb County Clerk (40 N. Main, Mount Clemens). DIRECTIONS WHEN TO FILE Candidates must file no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 13, 2008. CANDIDATE WITHDRAWAL Candidates must withdraw in writing with the County Clerk’s office by 4:00 p.m. on May 16, 2008. City or township clerks are not authorized to accept precinct delegate withdrawal notices. QUALIFICATIONS Must be a qualified and registered voter residing within, as well as having his or her actual bona fide residence within, the election precinct for which he or she desires to become a candidate.
