Divorce Cases
The forms necessary for filing divorce cases are not available through our office. There is a company that sells legal forms called "Target" (not the department store) and the forms for filing a divorce case can be purchased in a packet. There are no instructions included with these packets. The phone number for Target's information line is: 1-800-258-0258 and their website is: www.targetinfo.com. Also, there is a book called "The Michigan Divorce Book" available at most major bookstores that includes some instructional guidance which can be helpful.

Friend of the Court
Packets for filing some motions regarding domestic relations matters involving minor children may be available through the Friend of the Court Office. If you are filing one of these motions, be sure to read all instructions carefully and fill out the necessary forms completely prior to filing. You may want to check availability of the judge's motion dates by phone. Though a date cannot be set by phone, this will enable you to file by mail if you so choose.
