Toni Moceri was elected in November 2008 to a two-year term representing the residents of District 4 in Warren. The 2009-10 term is her first on the Board of Commissioners and her first elective office.

She is the vice-chair of the Education & Training Committee and vice-chair of the Senior Services Committee.

Moceri’s primary focus is keeping Macomb County a great place to live and work. Other goals include engaging young people to participate in local government, expanding educational and training opportunities, and exploring ways to develop our economy by meeting the needs of Macomb County’s growing senior citizen population.

Moceri, 29, is strategic development coordinator at the Michigan Suburbs Alliance.

She graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor of arts degree in American Culture and Anthropology. She specialized in urban studies while gaining experience in areas such as affordable housing, transportation planning and community development/community development. She studied urbanism at the Bauhaus College in Dessau, Germany, and has a master of research degree in Humanities and Cultural Studies from the London Consortium (Birkbeck College, University of London) in England.

A Warren native, Moceri graduated from Cousino High School.
