Firearms Laws of Michigan Handbook

Renewal Requirements For Fingerprinting


CCW applicants fingerprinted after January 1, 2006 are no longer required to be fingerprinted.  CLICK HERE to view House Bill No. 4042. (pdf)

Training Certificates


Effective October 1, 2004, all NRA Instructors must comply with the new act required on all Training Certificates.  Click CLICK HERE to read the details. (pdf document)       BACK TO TOP 

Please note: If your training certificate was issued after October 1, 2004 as stated by State Law and it has been more than a year since you've taken the training course, it is a county requirement that you submit a receipt along with your training certificate at time of application to show that you have completed at least 1 hour of shooting range time within the last 2 months.

Macomb County CCW Office Window

The CCW Licensing Board Office is conveniently located in the Macomb County Clerk's Office (first floor of the Circuit Court Bldg.) at 40 N. Main in downtown Mount Clemens. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours on Wednesday until 7 p.m.
