WHERE TO FILE

Macomb Community College Board of Trustees candidates must file with the Macomb County Clerk’s office, Elections Department, which is located in the Macomb County Court Building, 40 North Main, Mount Clemens.

WHAT TO FILE

• Affidavit of Identity and Receipt of Filing  CLICK HERE

• Community College Nominating Petitions containing a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 100 signatures from qualified and registered electors in the Macomb Community College District or in lieu of nominating petitions, a $100.00 nonrefundable filing fee.

• Nominating Petitions and the Affidavit of Identity are available at the Macomb County Clerk’s office, Elections Department.

WHEN TO FILE

Candidates must file no later than 4:00 p.m. on August 12, 2008.

CANDIDATE WITHDRAWAL

The deadline to withdraw for the November General Election is 4:00 p.m. on August 15, 2008. Candidates who withdraw from the November General Election and have paid a $100 filing fee will not be refunded the filing fee.

CAMPAIGN FINANCE

All candidates are required to comply with the Campaign Finance Act filing requirements. Information is available in our office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES QUALIFICATIONS  (6 year term)

Must be at least 18 years of age, and a qualified registered elector of Macomb Community College district by the filing deadline.
